From its humble beginning as a Polytechnic College in 1995, Sri Sai Group of Institutes is entering the 25th glorious year of its academic life. Yes, it is a time to celebrate, to introspect, to consolidate and to plan for its future. That is what we intend to do in the year long Silver Jubilee celebrations of SSGI, Badhani – a dream destination for students, faculty, researchers and a place where teamwork is second nature for everyone.
Celebrating 75 years of our independence
‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence. Our relationship with the flag has always been more formal and institutional than personal. Bringing the flag home collectively as a nation in the 75th year of independence thus becomes symbolic of not only an act of personal connection to the Tiranga but also an embodiment of our commitment to nation-building.
The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
My Waste My Responsibility
An initiative of converting green waste into resource (compost) has taken by Dr. Anchal Sharma (Head, Civil Engineering) and Dr. Arjan Singh ( Head, Mechanical Engineering) under the patronage of Dr. Vipin Gupta (Principal SSCET). The compost made from naturally processed biodegradable and kitchen waste of SSGI campus. This 100% organic compost (black gold) is now ready for laboratory testing to analyse its physico-chemical and spectroscopic characterization.
Special thanks to the management of SSGI for their encouragement and support in this pilot project.
Happy World Pulses Day To Everyone
World Pulses Day as the name suggests is a day dedicated to the importance of pulses. This day is observed on February 10 of every year. This year the theme of the day is “Nutritious Seeds for a Sustainable Future.” It is a well-known fact that pulses have highly nutritious properties and are a very important part of a healthy diet for humans.
The day not only emphasizes consumption but also urges people to grow pulses. Along with the nutritional value, the farming of pulses is also very important for the soil as it replenishes urea and minerals in it.
