Lab Facilities
In Civil engg. Stream different labs are available with sufficient equipments apparatus on machineries as per the Requirement of different Sem and Subject.
Department Laboratories
- Survey Lab
- Surveying takes the foremost place in planning, designing and execution of any kind of Const. work.
- Fluid Mechanics Lab
- A basic knowledge of fluid mechanics is essential for all the civil engineering as they frequently comes across variety of problems involving flow of fluids, force of fluids on structural surfaces etc. This lab is used for experimentation on the properties and behavior of fluids.
- Soil and Foundation Engg
- The soil lab provides academic and research services through performing all lab test needed for analysis and soil characteristics and its properties.
- CAD Lab
- This lab consist of transformer testing oil kit, circuit breakers, pipe earthing . in this lab the students of 6th sem perform their experiments as per their syllabus.
- Structure Mechanic Lab
- The structure Mech. Lab facilitates in determination of the effects of leads o physical structures and their components result of the analysis are used to verify structure’s Fitness for use.
- Concrete Lab
- Conc. is the most widely used Const. Material. The lab provides evaluation of the plastic properties of mix as well as the hardened properties.
Department of Civil Engineering
Introduction
Civil Engineering is the second oldest Engineering discipline after military Engineering and it is defined to distinguish non military Engineering from military Engineering. It is traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines including architectural Engineering, geotechnical Geoponics, control Engineering, Structural Engineering , Transportation Engineering , Earth science municipal or Urban Engineering, Water Resource Engineering, Material Engineering, off shore Engineering Surveying, coastal, and construction Engineering.
Goals of the Department
- Overall personality development of the students of the department.
- To provide best teaching –learning to the students by using latest teaching aids so that teaching becomes interesting.
- Hands –on Practical training to all the students so that they can handle all the equipment/instruments independently.
- To arrange expert lectures/workshops /Educational Tours for students for better understanding of theory subjects.
- Industry-Institute –Interaction programme for problem solving of the industry and latest development.
- To encourage students to serve the society with their knowledge in the field of environment and other societal needs.
